What's the occasion to make a portrait?

There are really many various occassions and moments to make a professional Portrait shoot. First of all, there are two portrait 'groups':

Personal and Business

Personal Portrait

 Your Personal Portrait is a casual image of yourself; for your birthday, to have fun with glitter & glamour in our studio, for a dating profile or when you finally decided to upgrade your social media profile. A professional portrait is a fantastic asset for you and your loved ones for now and the future. 

Business Portrait

Your Business Portrait is an official presentation of yourself as a professional. There are many ways and themes to present yourself. It depends on your goal, your business, your profession, etc. A professional business portrait is nowadays a crucial investment for your career or your enterprise. You have to distinguish and present yourself in a convincing way.

What to wear?

This, of course, depends on the type of you Portrait.

Personal Portrait

In general you can wear whatever you want. But it depends on the theme and the style of your personal portrait. There is a wide range of portraits; from a traditional, natural to a glitter & glamour portrait and everything in between. So it's important to match your clothes to the type of portrait.

For a traditional portrait our clients usually wear neat casual clothes. In this case our advise is to avoid very bright colors and large logo's. The best colors are: black, white, brown, dark blue, grey. 

For our fun and festive portraits we offer a very wide range of dresses, props, sceneries and gadgets. Our studio offers the widest assortment. To give you an idea: there are more than 100 dresses in all colors, styles and sizes. You can see a lot of examples in our Portrait Portfolio.

Business Portrait

There are countless types of business portraits for various purposes:

'Typical' business / Corporate (e.g. headshots)

CV / LinkedIn / Job Application

Freelancer / Contractor / Consultant Presentation

Company / Management Presentation

Etc.

But there are also various other 'business' portraits for the following purposes or roles:

Artists

Sportsman

DJ's, Musician, Singers

Writers, Poets

Because there such a variety we can't give a general, one-size-fits-all advice regarding the clothing. Please, contact us if you have questions, doubts or if you want to discuss the possibilities.

What Sceneries, Clothes, Themes, Props, etc. can be used during a Photo Session?

The possibilities in our studio are unlimited. We have the broadest assortment of sceneries, dresses for girls, props, backdrops, themes, furniture and 10.000 other things which make your Photo Session unique. In other words: you don't have to take anything with you to the studio. We have it all.

Are there Dresses, Props, etc.?

We have around 100 haute couture dresses in our studio in different sizes, colors and styles. There are many dresses to match your family members' clothes, your expectations and wishes. Furthermore there are high heels, accessories, jewellery, hats and many more to wear.

Gentlemen need to take their own clothes to the studio. We advise to take 2-3 sets in order to be able to change/match their clothes with the sceneries. Dads' clothes should be smart casual, casual elegant. The best colors are: black, white, brown, dark blue, grey. Avoid bright colors and large logos on your clothes.

What is the best location for your Portrait Photo Session?

This strongly depends on the type of portrait you want to make.

There are 3 options:

Our studio

Outdoors

On a specific location (e.g. your company)

Most of the portraits are made in our professional studio. Our studio is fully equipped with anything to make a great portrait. There is also the possibility to do your make-up and hair styling. There are unlimited possibilities regarding the sceneries, backdrops, themes and styles of your portrait.

Overall, our studio is the most chosen location.

But there are exceptions. Some portraits require  specific environment, a special scenery. For example, if you are a business owner and if you want to show your company, then the best locations is your company's building. If you want to celebrate the spring, the best location is a natural environment (beach, dunes, park, etc.)

Please, don't hesitate to contact us to discuss the best location for your portrait. We know a lot of beautiful, special locations so we can give you very interesting options.

Our Working Method

1. Book your Shoot

Book your photo session online or call/app/email us

2. Pay a deposit of 40%

You will receive a payment request which you pay online

3. You receive a confirmation

After your payment you'll receive a confirmation immedtiately

The rest of the sum, 60%, you will pay in the studio. You can pay by cash or credit/debit card.

Make-Up & Hair Styling

Your Photo Session will be an investment for now and the future. It's crucial that you look stunning, well-groomed and confident in the photo session.

Here are two options;

1. Our make-up artist can take care of your make-up and hair styling in a professional way.

2. You do your own make-up (and hair styling) at home.

Of course there is a 3rd option: no make-up/hair styling at all.

Let us know with your booking if you wish to book our make-up artist/hairdresser.

How long does a Photo Session take?

This depends on the package. But in general it takes between 1 and 2 hrs. We need this time to make good pictures.

Rescheduling of Photo Session

We schedule your shoot on an ideal date for you. We prefer to stick to this plan. We strongly discourage rescheduling.

Reschedule your photo session only when this is really necessary!

You can reschedule your booking once. It can be done up to 10 days prior to your originally booked photo session.

Cancellation of your Photo Session 

We strongly discourage cancellation of your booking because your deposit/down payment will not be refunded by us.

Photography & Editing

Your pictures will be made and edited according to our style, techniques, standards, style, etc. By booking your shoot with us you automatically agree with it.

Adjustments proposed by you to the pictures can be made at extra charge and are subject to our photographer’s approval.

You receive the number of edited pictures according to your package. You will select which photos will be edited.

Unedited pictures will not be distributed.

Additional Photos

You can buy additional photos or all photos from your shoot. You can also order an Express Service (delivery within 3 working days).

Code of Conduct 

The co-operation between the photographer and the client is on an individual basis, close and personal. That is why we strictly apply a Code of Conduct during every photo session:

We place high value on a good, positive and respectful atmosphere during photo sessions. This is an important condition to realise stunning photos. When a customer is disrespectful, ruins the mood, we reserve the right to end the photo session prematurely, without compensation. In cases when the customer is aggressive, violent or in cases of theft, we'll immediately report this to the police and will take legal action.  

You're not allowed to make pictures yourself (with your smartfone/camera).

The customer must follow the instructions of our staff at all times. 

How will you receive your pictures?

Your photographer will send your photos digitally to you. It's possible to receive the pictures on a USB-stick at an additional fee.
